On August 10th 2020 at approximately 3:40 A.M K-9 Deputy Jeremy Hendrix responded to a Residential Alarm at 4890 US 371 South of Rosston.
Upon arrival at the residence Hendrix heard a vehicle leave from the rear of the residence traveling through a wooded area to the south towards Nevada 36.
Hendrix traveled down US 371 and turned down Nevada 36 stopping at an open gate. Hendrix observed a vehicle coming fast towards him from the wooded area. After seeing Hendrix's patrol vehicle the vehicle came to a stop approximately 100 yards before reaching the gate. Hendrix head a gunshot and took cover calling for backup to the scene.
Chief Deputy Larry Miller and Deputy Bernard Box were dispatched to assist Deputy Hendrix.
After arriving on scene Deputies approached the vehicle that was still running with its headlights on. The vehicle was pulling a trailer that was loaded with numerous items that were later determined stolen from the residence along with the trailer. A 22 caliber rifle was also located lying in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.
Deputies began searching the area looking for the suspect(s) that had been in the vehicle.
A suspect was later found walking down US 371 and detained. The suspect was identified as Grady Brown from Stephens, Ar.
Further investigation led to other suspects identified as Curtis Carroll B/M Waldo, Jimmy Stafford W/M Stephens, AR and Tiffany Knight W/F Camden, Ar.
Jimmy Stafford was later arrested after a pursuit with Nevada County Deputies when he stole a Motorcycle from Hwy 76 near Us 371.
Tiffany Knight was arrested by her parole officer in Ouachita County later that week.
Curtis Carroll 51 year B/M Waldo, Ar has outstanding warrants for Residential Burglary, Theft of property, Possession of firearm by certain persons. Anyone knowing Carroll's location is requested to contact the Nevada County Sheriff at 870-887-2616.
