Drug and Firearm arrest

On Friday the 30th day of June 2017 Deputy Robert Missey was traveling east on Interstate 30 near the 51 Mile Marker. Deputy Missey observed a passenger vehicle traveling east approaching him in the fast lane at a high rate of speed. Deputy Missing confirmed by radar that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 99 miles per hour in a 70 miler per hour zone.

Deputy Missey initiated a traffic stop on the Silver BMW. The vehicle pulled to the side of the interstate and Missey made contact with the operator. The operator was identified as B/M Tamarcus Jefferson from Little Rock, Ar.

While talking with Jefferson, Deputy Missey observed a clear plastic baggie that contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana laying in the passenger seat. Deputy Missey asked Jefferson to exit his vehicle to the rear. Missey removed the controlled substance from the vehicle and placed Jefferson under arrest.

Investigator Jeremy Hendrix arrived on scene to assist. A Further search of the vehicle was conducted locating a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine and a AR 15 Bushmaster rifle.

The white powdery substance was tested and showed positive for cocaine with a weight of approximately 6 grams.

The green leafy substance was weighed and showed to be approximately 50 grams.

Tamarcus Jefferson was transported to the Nevada County Detention facility where he was held for first appearance on the charges of Speeding 99 mph in a 70 mph, Driving on a suspended drivers license, Simultaneous possession of a controlled substance and a firearm, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine.
