On Wednesday October 11th at approximately 11:18 P.M. Nevada County dispatch received a call of a female being shot at 139 Nevada 55 in Emmet, Ar.

Upon arrival Deputies found 38 year old Lucia Smith deceased inside of the home.

Arkansas State Police Criminal investigation unit was contacted and the scene was secured until their arrival.

Information from witnesses at the scene identified the suspect as 21 year old George Hayden Tong from Fulton, Ar.

With assistance from Hempstead County, Hope Police Department and the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department Tong was later located at a motel in Texarkana with Tong being placed in custody.

George Tong was transported back to Nevada County and was booked into the jail awaiting first appearance on the charges of 1st Degree murder.
