On Saturday November 18th 2017 Deputy Justin Hughes made a traffic stop on a 4 door Gray Nissan passenger vehicle for speeding.

K9 Deputy Jeremy Hendrix backed Hughes up on the stop. K9 Deputy Hendrix observed an odor emitting from the vehicle known to him to be associated with the odor of burning marijuana.

K9 Deputy Hendrix had all passengers exit the vehicle and K9 Max was used to conduct a free air search of the vehicle. K9 Max alerted on the said vehicle and a search of the interior of the vehicle was conducted. 

Deputies located several bags of a green leafy substance inside of the vehicle that later showed to be approximately 25 grams.

The Driver  Eugene Gatewood B/M from Memphis Tennesse, Alenceo Jones B/M also from Memphis Tennesse and Janice Graham B/F from Austin, Texas were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and were transported to the Nevada County Detention facility.
