On Wednesday Deputy Justin Hughes was patrolling the area of US 278 after just assisting Deputy Morris with a traffic stop. Deputy Hughes ran a check on a white Chevrolet Caprice that was travelling east on US 278 towards Rosston. The check showed that the license plate returned to a Nissan instead of a Chevrolet vehicle.

Deputies Hughes made a traffic stop on the vehicle on US 278 making contact with the operator. The operator was identified as B/M Cameron Terry from Camden, Ar. Terry stated that he was test driving the vehicle and had put his license on the vehicle due to the fact the one that was on it showed to be expired.

While talking with the operator, Deputy Hughes noticed a set of black digital scales laying in the back seat of the vehicle. Deputy Hughes asked Terry if he had anything illegal inside of his vehicle with Terry replying only marijuana.

Cameron Terry was asked to exit the vehicle at this time. Deputy Hughes located a glass jar next to the black scales in the back seat that contained approximately one ounce of a green substance believed to be marijuana.

Cameron Terry was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance and for possession of drug paraphernalia and was transported to the Nevada County Detention facility.

Terry also faces the charges of Fictitious license and no proof of insurance.
