On Thursday October 11th 2018 Deputy Bo Morris made a traffic stop on a white Lexus passenger vehicle near Hwy 19 and US 371 intersection. The stop was made due to the vehicle crossing the center lane marker.
Contact was made with the operator a W/F identified as Emily Cauley from Amity, Arkansas. Deputy Morris noticed an odor of an intoxicating substance coming from within the vehicle. Cauley admitted drinking alcohol earlier in the day.
Cauley was asked to exit her vehicle and was administered a field sobriety test in which she failed. Cauley was placed under arrest at this time and an inventory was conducted of her vehicle. During the inventory a glass smoking pipe commonly used for methamphetamine was located in the front of the vehicle.
Deputy Morris transported Emily Cauley to the Nevada County Detention facility and Prescott Police Officer Coby Tillman transported a child that was a passenger also in the Cauley vehicle.
