PRESTON (PEP) GLENN OBITUARY

Obituary for Preston "Pep" Glenn

Preston “Pep” Wayne Glenn age 53 of Murfreesboro passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at his home. He was born in Murfreesboro, Arkansas on May 30 , 1965 to Gail Russell Sweeden and Lester “Bobo” Glenn. He was preceded in death by his mother in 2006 and his father in 2005, as well as a son in law Wendell Adams II. Pep was married to Rhonda Glenn they were married 31 years. Pep and Rhonda had lived in Pike County for the last 30 years and settled in Billstown where they raised their two children Casey Glenn of Hot Springs, AR; and Aubrey Adams of Mount Ida, AR; he had two sisters Misty and Kathy, one brother Harold Glenn. Pep was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors almost as much as his job. He served as a police officer for the last 22 years. During his police career he served as the Pike County Sheriff for two terms. He also served on the volunteer fire department and was a first responder. He loved his community and always strived to help whoever or anybody that needed it. He has three grandchildren Jessie, Danny, and Wendell. Pep loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very much. He always answered when called or needed day or night. He will be loved and missed more than anything. He leaves behind numerous family and friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, October 29, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 12:00, Tuesday October 30, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, with Tommy Mounts, Roger Cox, and George “Boots” Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Delight Fire Department, Delight First Responders Unit, and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office.
